One of the things we at Bulletproof always do is flex our connections to get us into Tokyo Auto Salon a day before the show opens. This allows us some time to get a feel for the new products without the crowds and the madness. Technically it should not be possible that we can enter the show before even the media has access tomorrow morning. Nonetheless, before the show begins on Friday we have already updated WWW.GT-RR.COM with all of the newest GT-R tuning parts. And for those signed up to our newsletter, they will be receiving a exclusive look into Tokyo Auto Salon a full day before any of the blogs and media resources pick it up.

For GT-R fans, there were a few surprises…Mainly the Runduce x Varis GT-R being completed in non-widebody form. Besides that, the usual suspects were there. HKS GT-R, Hasemi GT-R, Garage Yawata Street Special GT-R, Tommy Kaira GT-R, Nordring GT-R and I’m sure a few others that I’m forgetting as I type this a 2am in Tokyo.

Also noteworthy was a highly innovative Nissan Stagea Autech conversion. Usually those Stagea conversions are done with R34 GT-R front bumpers. A year ago there was even one with a R35 front end. But this year there was a retro Hakosuka GT-R front end conversion and tail lamp conversion! That car was one of my favorites of the show!

Aside from the cars at TAS, I’m happy to report that we’ve been having some really great meetings with our contacts in Japan which will turn into some new GT-R parts being potentially developed in the near future! More on that when the time comes…
