After checking Bulletproof Automotive’s facebook profile I noticed Clifford’s comment about European hillclimb machines. And because just recently European hillclimb championship is near, I thought it would be cool to show what kind of monsters are climbing on our hills. To bad that we didn’t see Georg Plasa’s E36 BMW hillclimb car with Judd V8 engine from F1. A few years ago I remember when I was standing 5 feet away from the car when Plasa passed by us under full throttle. I became deaf for a few minutes. Youtube search that car if you want to see some craziness.
Yet still there were some great machines like Felix Pailer’s Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 5 with ~700hp or Herbert Pregartner’s Porsche 911 GT2 EVO II(993) with 820hp who was 12th overall and 1th in class. Here is a shot of that Porsche and bellow a video with GT2 in action.

Of course Japanese cars were also present although they were outnumbered. Among the few were Evos, Imprezas and some Civics. Mike Jelinek’s Impreza stood out noticeably from the stock looking Evos. The Impreza, recently upgraded with a KAPS Transmissions full sequential 6 speed gearbox and 600hp pushed Mike’s Impreza hard up the hill climb.
