Back to the future we go! The DeLorean DMC-12 was no better than a hunk of stainless steel from the factory. It came with a 2.8 liter V6 that produced a measly 130 hp (170 hp for the Euro version) which was good enough to propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in about 10 seconds which is about the same as a Toyota Prius.
This particular example is no turtle though. Eddie from Florida has swapped a 2JZ-GTE into his DeLorean. To make matters more impressive, he did most of the work himself from his garage. There is no exact horsepower figures, but the owner is aiming for around 400 whp. That is plenty enough for the car that now weights roughly 3,000 lbs after the swap. For comparison, a E36 M3 is heavier at about 3,200 lbs with only 240 hp at the crank.

EDIT BY BEN - I co-sign the hell out of this. As a Back to the Future fan growing up, this is so incredibly awesome to me. I love this car! Great find Stanley!
