I’m amazed by the talented people who have already applied to become a contributing blogger here. There has been not just one, but multiple applicants who already operate blogs that I read daily. Beyond that, there have been many other people with really great ideas that I also respect very much.

So the time has come to announce the competition and how this is going to work exactly.

Goal Of This - The Real JDM will expand with more content and more unique perspectives into the world of Japanese tuning that we all love. We will carefully select one or multiple new contributors to the blog going forward. The selection will be done with the reader’s involvement in the entire process.

The competition: I will screen the applicants and present to you the finalists. Expect no more than 5 finalists. Each finalist will have one blog post published here. You, the reader will get to vote for the ones you’d like. We will then take your votes into consideration as well as our own review and we’ll determine which contributors will stay on as future bloggers. You may vote for multiple people if you’d like, there’s nothing wrong with that.

How the competition works is simple: When a blog is posted by a contestant, if you want to see them stay then comment on the blog post with your approval by saying “WIN”. By saying WIN your vote will be counted. Even better, if you can add the reason for the WIN (what you liked in particular) it’ll help us learn more and fine tune the future content of the blog.

We then will review the # of collective WIN comments for each applicant and announce a winner. The winner will be guaranteed a role as a regular contributor on the blog.
