Disclaimer - This is off topic, but the essence of it is something that perhaps connects with most people here.

This blog is all about spreading ideas and information. At the least, entertaining. At the most, inspiring. I think most of us come together to expand our perspective and to learn about the things we love, in this case it is cars and the lifestyle around it.

But I’d be missing a good chance if I do not share a website with you that I personally vouch for at the deepest of levels. I think TED conferences are one of the best things to ever happen, and they have an amazing website to distribute for free all of the videos from their conferences. This stuff is seriously some of the most interesting, enlightening and informative content you’ll ever hear. It usually costs in the neighborhood of $5000 to attend a conference, but the free videos open it up to everyone.

Pretty much everyone worth hearing has spoken at TED. The big names like Bill Clinton, Richard Branson, Bill Gates and Al Gore have all spoken at TED. Plus the smaller names like Peter Diamantis (started the X Prize, leading to affordable space flight), Will Wright (invented Sim City), Ray Kurzweil (technology futurist), etc.

I openly suggest to any of you who have a curiosity to learn and become inspired by the brightest minds in the world - Check out TED

I get nothing out of this other than knowing that the world is a smarter, safer and more interesting place with every new person who gets exposed to these speeches on the TED site. Check it out and watch whatever is interesting to you. The site is pretty easy to navigate and there is loads of content.
