Patrick Callahan is back with another blog post:
Every person must at some point in time wonder what they would do if they came upon an enormous sum of money. Periodically someone comes around that reminds me that I really would spend the money on cars. Sometimes it’s guys like Ralph Lauren and his impeccable collection of classic and exotic cars. Other times it’s guys like Jay Leno and his eclectic mix of machinery. The thing about most of these people is you wonder about whether they really use the cars as they were intended to be used. That’s why Ken Block warms my heart.
It seems that as much as Ken loves cars, he seems to love using them even more. He’s got the crazy Mercedes CLS above, several rally WRXs from Vermont Sportscar, the Crawford Gymkhana WRX and another WRX built for the One Lap of America event.
But Ken doesn’t just own the car in terms of ownership, he owns them in terms of complete and utter pwn4ge. What else would possess you to jump your car 171ft
or do donuts around a moving segway?

But the thing that really separates Ken from others is that he has built a playground to exercise his toys. He calls it the gravel lab, but it is basically a rally utopia somewhere in Utah (interestingly, Utah is home to another motoring Mecca driven by a man with a vision, Miller Motorsports Park). Not much is known about it but the evidence is pretty clear; Ken Block you are the man.
