Do You Know: Shadow Sports

Shadow Sports

I thought I’d do a quick feature on an upcoming Japanese tuner called Shadow Sports.

Shadow Sports is owned by Super GT and Formula Nippon race car driver Masami Kageyama. I’ve been supplying Shadow Sports for nearly two years now, but up until recently they’ve only had a Z33 350Z application and it’s been all aero parts.

For Tokyo Auto Salon 2009, Shadow Sports had a second car debut, a R35 GT-R. With the GT-R they stepped up the quality to further levels of exotica and everything they’ve produced is either in full dry carbon or full titanium. Sparing no expense, they’ve made some clearly functional parts which also serve to reduce weight considerably. Their front diffuser with integrated dry carbon brake ducts is a fan favorite already. As to whether people will turn from fans to customers depends on their ability to stomach the steep price Shadow Sports demands for their high quality parts (prices recently released on GT-RR for this item). In 2009 Shadow Sports has expanded from just aero parts into full titanium exhaust systems and a magnesium wheel collaboration with Enkei.

For the sake of this blog, lets just enjoy some of the eye candy of Shadow Sports. If anyone needs pricing, of course by now you know where to reach me at GT-RR and Bulletproof Automotive respectively.
