Every couple of years I find some tuning parts that completely change my perspective on a car and make me want to rush to go buy one.
Let me introduce this topic by saying that up until a week ago, if someone asked me what I think of the Lexus SC430 my response would be “a lame, watered down, old person’s car”. To me the SC430 is way too soft, unfocused as a drivers car, blandly styled and overall lacking any visual or performance impact. Harsh, I know…but I’ve just never been really convinced that the SC is great at anything so that’s how I feel.
Then I saw Artisan Spirits’ SC430 and all of that changed. I passed by it once, slowly gazed and kept walking. Then I saw it a second time and I looked even more. By the third time I saw it, it dawned on me just how special the car is and I started investigating more closely. After taking some time to soak it all in, I realized; Artisan Spirits took a car that I totally didn’t respect and made me want to go out and build one! No small feat.
Here’s why (please look at all of the pictures, they’re hi-res and the rear must be seen to fully understand how unique the car is):
The SC430 uses:
Artisan Spirits ARS full aero kit
Artisan Spirits original exhaust
Artisan Spirits external reservoir racing coilovers
Artisan Sprits big brake kit (collaboration with Brembo)
Toms Supercharger kit
and much more.
This car left such an impression on me that I decided to have a serious meeting with them. As a result, Bulletproof Automotive is now an official distributor for Artisan Spirits. Their entire lineup of Lexus aero parts is incredible, but this car to me represents the best Lexus tuning I’ve possibly ever seen.
