Yoshinori Koguchi is a legendary drifter that many drifting fans already know very well. His company Koguchi Power develops parts for Silvias and 180SXs used by his own cars as well as many client cars in Japan. Koguchi’s own demo car has seen many reincarnations over the years and is a favorite of many drift fans, for good reason.

This is my favorite version of Koguchi’s drift car. I absolutely loved this back in the day.

Some of the key points that make this car special for me:

Wheel choice and fit is maxed and beautiful with the Koguchi bodywork, see the rear fender detail shot to witness.

The 180SX is kept true, not trying to be something it isnt with a strawberry (S15 - AKA ichi go) front end conversion or something identity changing. Instead it has a nice fixed headlight swap which looks age appropriate for the car’s style while being lighter and cooler looking than the factory pop-up lights.

The V Mount intercooler is already a great move for performance and reduced boost lag, but the custom vented hood with perfect vent placement for the intercooler air to exit from is really the flawless touch as my friend Andrey shows in one of the pictures.

Classic choice of factory type aero with a first molding carbon rear diffuser, timeless. The car looks hardcore and aggressive, but unlike a lot of other drift cars, this one still looks right 5 or so years after I took these photos in Tokyo.

Color - I love green and other rugged colors on Silvias and 180SXs…my favorite is brown on the S13 or 180SX but Green is very fitting.
