Another container arrived recently and I happen to like this picture the guys at our office took because of not just both the wheels, but also also because of the projects it represents of ours.
The Lowenhart wheels and blister fenders (not in the picture) are sold in the Japanese market only and are made for a Toyota Cygnus. What the hell is a Cygnus you ask? That’s a Lexus LX470 for us gaijins. Ever seen a JDM blister fendered (aka widebodied) Lexus LX470? Me neither…I’m excited to be part of building the first! Note that the blue on the rims is a rim protector, its not actually a blue lip…plus they’ll look a lot better once the center caps are put on. For now we can all just enjoy it for it’s rare JDM EXE status.
The BBS wheels some of you GT-R fans already know. These are Japanese market only and limited to 100 sets. They’re beautiful and include details I’m not used to seeing (anti slip texture on the inner lips for example). Despite the BBS wheels being already sold out in Japan, my connections have snapped me up three sets so far…one of which is still available and coming a month from now. The set you see here is going on a very impressive R35 GT-R build we’re involved with. I’m really excited for that car to come together as parts continue to roll in. Anthony, congrats on your rims arriving! First in the USA I believe…
So one picture does it all…ballin wheels and blastin wheels. Two styles, equally JDM and equally fresh.
I added more pics of the BBS wheels from the same photoshoot here:
