Matchless Crowd Racing AKA MCR has been a bit of an enigma in the tuning world for years. Sure everyone has heard of MCR by now, but thats as close to MCR as people could get…just hearing about the legend.

Perhaps you’ve heard of various MCR projects, maybe it was their famous Red R34 GT-R…maybe it was CPV35 Skyline Coupe they built for Option Magazine to challenge the Porsche GT3 at the circuit with Japanese street legal tuning. Perhaps it has been their stunning Z33 350Z’s which compete quite strongly at Z Masters and various time attack events.

The fact is, like you…I’ve also been on the sidelines watching Kobayashi-shacho and his team at MCR make their mark in Japanese tuning history. But something interesting has happened in the past year…

In the past year MCR has started making their own original parts so that customers around the world can experience a piece of MCR. Rather than just one off work and expert tuning, now quality MCR parts were being produced for sale.

A few months ago I tested them out and ordered up an aero bonnet for our client’s 350Z. I was very impressed with the quality and value, so I started taking even more interest.

As I had hoped and expected,  MCR continued on with producing more of their own original tuning parts. First it was Z33 stuff like the hood, plus twin canards for the Nismo bumper, and wing modification pieces to create more downforce. Then I got really excited because they started developing some great parts for the R35 GT-R.

That leads us to now…

I have a nice relationship developing with Kobayashi-shacho and I’m very proud to introduce more MCR tuning products to North America and for that matter, world wide.

I’m using this post as a unique oppritunity to not just talk about MCR but to make an early debut of a new product!

Starting today, www.gt-rr.com will be offering for sale (for the first time in the world) the new MCR carbon fiber front lip for the R35 GT-R. We’re also closing in on our debut release of the much talked about MCR/ARC collaboration titanium exhaust (capable of launching small watermelons out of the exhaust tips).
