Here’s one more topic that we can all have fun arguing about.

After just doing the post on my favorite JDM interiors I was digging through my old photos and I came across a luxury tuned ASM S2000 demo car that they had at Tokyo Auto Salon 2005. Sorry that my picture I took wasnt a little better…but I thought I’d put this out there for people to debate more on whether classic symbols of wealth and luxury like gold and LV leather have any place in JDM tuning.

Personally speaking, I’m not a fan of this one…but I get where they were trying to take it.

Lastly, for all those that are ready to start hating on this too…ask yourself, would you hate equally if a more “underground/urban” version of this existed and the LV print was instead for example BAPE print? Honestly I’d be a straight hippocrite on that one because I think it’d be really cool to have BAPE leather print accents on a car’s interior. I’ve seen people do BAPE multicolor cloth on the interior (those were alright), but what I think would be extremely impressive and classy would be that BAPE leather that has the subtlely scored in bathing ape logos all in one solid color (textured BAPE print, not colored).
