Super GT Car Builder Makes Big Scooter Parts - Is this cool? I dont know…
In Ben Schaffer's The Real JDMSo I’ve been trying to decide for a while if the big scooter scene in Japan is cool or not. It shares a lot of similarity to the car tuning scene which I love. Yet it’s scooters…scooters may be cool in Japan but from my American perspective they’ve always been the sport bike’s bitch. So I’ve been trying to decide whether scooter modification could be cool or not in the US. I have a bunch of industry connections that make scooter parts, and I’m slightly tempted to build one just for the hell of it and see if I like it. It’ll take a lot for me to get over the preconception that I grew up with which tells me that scooters are lame.
This however is certifiably not a lame company:
They build GT cars and not just these MR-S’s, they build the ARTA Gariya and NSX’s. They also produce titanium exhausts for Porsche 911s and other bad ass stuff.
Here’s their website if you’re interested in learning more. http://www.apr-jp.com/index.html
So what would scooter parts look like if they were built by a GT car constructor? Here they are (using APR’s air suspension system):
What do you think about these? Let me know.
And I know this is a different bike, but I had to post it because of the exhaust system! WTF!!? Thats some gangster scooter action right there…
